I had a lot of fun with this release. A lot of different stuff going on. This is extremely raw but if these guys up the jazz quotient a bit and flesh out the instrumentation, you'd be looking at a beast of a trio. Plus, any band who incorporates that crazy spider-head alien from The Thing into their cover art, gets my vote on the aesthetic alone..... no reason not to take a chance here.....

What began as a sludge endeavor between three close friends (Tom, Dario, Dylan), Barren of Shape quickly evolved into a maniacal experiment of dual bass grindcore. Pockmarked with funky jazz interludes, percussive blasts, chirps and shrieks a la Mike Patton, a grimy undertow of undulating bass wires, and slick grooves to boot, Fauna and Defloration is nineteen minutes of grind gone awry. It's a cheeky deluge of zaniness sure to smear a smile across your face.
** NOTE: We apologize for the exorbitant shipping prices to anywhere outside of the U.S. USPS charges absurdly high rates and we've struggled to find ways to reduce them. If you order more than one cassette (any combination of our releases), we can partially reduce the cost.

Dylan “Blastma" Vanderbemden: Bringing the funkies to the junkies & drums; special thanks to ganja for keeping me slightly happy and cuul as foock.
Tom “The Unhygienic Diabetic" Verelst: Loud front noises and what appears to be bass; special thanks to the bad people with good taste in music, dragon dildos, and sugar (you'll all believe me when I'm dead).
Dario "Acid Flashback" Dettori: Bass and random fuckery; special thanks to Redbull and Judy the rehearsal shack dog for spiritual guidance.
